GERSTEL Column Switching Systems

GERSTEL SCS 2 -
A simple switching system for solving a wide range of problems

All systems can be easily installed in new or existing GC systems and are completely upgradable. They allow coupling of a high sample capacity column with a high resolution column as well as switching column polarity between the first and the main column.

GERSTEL Cryo Trap System CTS

The CTS system provides LN2 cryogenic focussing and rapid computer controlled heating. This allows compounds selected from the pre-column to be transferred to the analytical column as a narrow band for optimum resolution.

Introduction of compounds as a narrow band onto the analytical column allows best possible use of the column's resolving power.
The resulting sharp peaks also result in lower detection limits.
Available for single or dual oven DCS or MCS systems.
Compatible with all GERSTEL column switching systems.
Can be upgraded to a CTE (MCS 2 systems only)

GERSTEL Cryogenic Trap Enrichment System CTE

With the CTE system, pre-column separation can be performed under optimum conditions, regardless of the column flow required for the analytical column. The CTE system consists of a combination of the CTS and an electronic proportional valve to compensate for column flow differences.

Features

Includes focussing capabilities of the CTS.
Pre-column and the main column flows can be independently controlled for maximum flexibility in setting separation conditions.
