Role: Sales, Support and Management
History: 1977-1988
I was with Waters Associates in various
roles from sales, support and management.
One of my highlights was setting up and
running the Singapore office for Waters
where I was managing sales/service/marketing
and administration for the ASEAN region
for 2 years. I left Waters from the role
of NSW Manager in 1988 to try my hand
in our own retail business ie service
station which after 2 years I found was
much too much work and returned to the
scientific field.
1990-1995 I was with firstly Perkin
Elmer in a sales role then transferred
to Applied Biosystems in the role of
Australian Product Manager for LCMS products.
In 1996 Lasersan became the sales and
support agents for Hewlett Packard, Chemical
Analysis group for Qld.
Hobbies: Scientific Instruments and their
use, Extreme Snowmobiling(seems a little
out of place in Qld), Fine wines

Elliot McElroy
Role: Support
History: Elliot was
with Qld DPI residues lab from 1989-1996
using and maintaining a full range of
GC, LC and ICPMS systems. He then worked
at the Qld Racing Science Centre using
their GC, HPLC and GCMS systems before
joining Shimadzu in 2000 as their Qld
Service engineer. Elliot joined Lasersan
in Feb 2002 and has quickly fitted in
although in his first 12 months he was
overseas on training for over 10 weeks.
Hobbies: Cycling(Elliot makes a dashing figure
in lycra…), Fine wines
