The demand for isolation of molecules from natural sources is increasing. Compared to methods traditionaly used for separation and purification of these complex samples, the Centrifugal Partition Chromatograph is a technology which offers enhanced performance.
This alternative to preparative HPLC technologies is ideal for the fractionation and purification of natural or synthetic substances without denaturation and with very low operating costs. As there is no solid HPLC support which can irreversibly adsorb some components 100% sample recoveries are always expected.
The FCPCs of KROMATON Technologies are the first models of Centrifugal Partition Chromatography available. They are a mono-axial apparatus equipped with two high pressure rotary seals.
They are the ideal instruments for isolation and purification of natural and synthesized compounds (organics or inorganics) or production of high value compounds.
Quiet and not bulky, they are especially useful in all laboratories which are looking for an improved technique of extraction, concentration and purification.
The instrument is a bench top chromatograph with a stacked circular disk-type column made of a succession of small loculi linked in cascade. The original design of the cells and the applied centrifugation allows good retention of stationary phase while the mobile phase is pumped through, and good dispersion of the mobile phase in each cell, which permits a great mass transfer between the two phases.
Two different models are available
- Bench scale FCPC from analytical to preparative purification (three rotorary columns available : 100, 200, 1000 ml).
- Pilot scale FCPC for production (5L column).
